Have you ever seen such gentle softness in your life? This baby shower is utterly breathtaking with it’s hues of white and touches of cotton!
Angelica from G’nT Design takes us through her concept for this lovely celebration:
“Bless her cotton socks” was a phrase that inspired this event. The softness, texture and rawness of cotton all reminded me of those first baby cuddles.
A room dressed in cotton and hues of whites celebrated a special little baby on the way. A beautiful cotton installation was suspended over a layered linen and tulle draped table, with delicate glassware, gold rimmed antique crockery and ivory and perspex cutlery. A white wax sealed “E” was incorporated in our stationery to celebrate “baby E”, in combination with textured paper, torn edges, gold eyelets and natural twine. The stationery theme was continued into the dessert table with white chocolate stamped “E” shortbread. The most beautiful buttercream painted cake was also dressed in cotton, dried pods and twigs, accompanied by white macarons, white chocolate and macadamia biscuits and coconut balls.
Less is more – this event was all about keeping the colour palette minimal. As the event name reiterates “Shades of Cotton”- shades of white. When flowers aren’t incorporated into your tablesacpes and the colour palette is so restricted, texture in everything.
