Grab your hat, gloves, spade and seeds… it’s time to get planting!
Thomas loves gardening so much that it inspired his mommy, Louise, to create a playful veggie patch party for his second birthday – TWOmato, so cute, right?
The main focal point of the garden was, of course, a very sweet cake with hand-painted tomato characters that matched the invites and other stationery. All kinds of delicious treats and an ombre balloon garland surrounded the display, emphasising the tomato theme – What do you think about the custom lollipops?
From the fresh vegetables and potted herbs to the striped scarfs and bright red boots, we simply love all the decor details and touches of tomato. Some other fun elements like the little pumpkin stools, wooden garden boxes, and seed gift packs are all so easy to do yourself and don’t forget about the red tomato buns for the burgers!
Louise has some great advice to share when planning your little one’s next party:
Choose your theme early, a few months ahead of time, this way you can get creative by using elements that’s in your own home… We used herbs that we already had, to display on the cake table. The cake table just needed a little paint to fit the theme also. Then the mini felt tomatoes I made from leftover materials laying around. Also, get realistic with the decor, our little ones loved the mini-herb garden that we made for them!
