A little llama fiesta with some prickly cactus biscuits and the cutest buttercream cake for Aniek’s 2nd birthday. This sweet celebration is filled with lots of tiny colourful pompoms and tassels, enough to brighten up any little girl’s special day.
Aniek’s mommy Leonie is one of those people who spreads happiness around like confetti. Every party she creates is one of a kind and such a feast to look at. She tells us more about the party planning for her little girl:
As a party stylist, I get to do beautiful parties all year round. Twice a year with my own girls’ birthdays, I get to do exactly what I envision. We always start the planning around the cake they choose and little Aniek did a pretty good job on this one, if I do say so myself. We had her little party at home with only her cousins and a couple of friends. I used an old cabinet (that I had been dying to paint for a party) and added only a few treats and décor items to create a cute and cozy little setup. I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to do big elaborate setups to create something beautiful. A few cupcakes and cookies used in cute ways with décor items from the girls’ rooms and the setup was completed. Not wanting the fiesta to feel to coordinated, I minimized the use of themed décor and rather used what I already had in stock and off course a layer of paint is a wonderful thing! The very cute cake and cookies was probably my favourite things at the party, besides the adorable 2 year old of course.
